The Hon Cameron Dick, Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning – State Government

Cameron Dick is the Queensland Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning and has represented the state electorate of Woodridge in the Queensland Parliament since 2015.

 

He has previously served Queensland as the state’s Attorney-General, Minister for Industrial Relations, Minister for Education and Minister for Health and Ambulance Services.

 

As a member of the Palaszczuk Government’s economic team he is responsible for driving economic growth and prosperity and job creation across the state.

 

Cameron’s ministerial responsibilities include strategic planning and program delivery for priority industry sectors, particularly defence and aerospace; advanced manufacturing; biofuels and renewable energy; Queensland’s biomedical sector; and mining technology, equipment and services (METS).

 

He is also responsible for industry and business attraction and incentive schemes and regional economic development.

 

As Minister for Infrastructure and Planning, Cameron’s responsibilities involve major project facilitation, development and delivery; land use planning including development of government land for economic and community purposes; and infrastructure prioritisation, planning, development, facilitation and coordination.

 

Cameron also helps lead the recovery and reconstruction of Queensland following natural disaster events as the Minister responsible for the Queensland Reconstruction Authority.

 

He is proud to live with his wife and two teenage boys in the City of Logan, where he enjoys supporting local community and sporting groups, particularly local rugby league and cricket clubs.
